Robot is an automatic device that works with the help of computer programs or electronic machines. Artificial intelligence is studied under robotics.

Robotics engineers generally design robots and develop new applications for them to make them functional in industries. Robotics is the field of engineering that deals with the design and application of robots and the use of computers for its manipulation and processing. Due to the increasing utility of robots, the demand for robotics professionals is also increasing rapidly. Millions have been earned in making a machine a human.

Candidates having good hold in the field of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence will be in demand in future. Although the current job prospects in this very field in India are less, there will be a huge demand for robotic engineers in the near future.

 Apart from India, there are many job opportunities available for robotics engineers in foreign countries as well. You can work in any private organization as a Robotic Scientist, Robotic Engineer and Robotic Technician. One can do teaching in various government and private universities or can also opt for research work. After taking a robotics degree, candidates can look for job opportunities in reputed institutes like ISRO and NASA and can also do microchips manufacturing.

Educational Qualifications

If you want to make a career in Robotics then you have to take Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in class 12th. After this you can apply for a graduate degree (B.Tech) in Robotics. To get a master's degree in robotics, one must have a BE or B.Tech degree from any branch of engineering.

The field of robotics requires a combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer programming/computer science skills.

The income of a robotic engineer mostly depends on their qualification, experience and company. Robotic engineering is one of the most promising and lucrative fields for people who want to make their career in robotics engineering their starting salary starts from 5-6 lakhs per annum and those who have 5 to 6 years of experience in this field they 10 -15 lakhs or more can earn an annual salary.
