5 Countries that extended travel ban on India

India is one of those countries that suffer a lot in Covid 19 second wave. Due to rapid spread of corona virus, the number of positive patient increases day by day. In the view of this, some countries have imposed travel ban on 14 countries including India at that time.

But now in India Covid 19 situation is fully under control, the number of positive cases is rapidly decreasing day by day. In the view of this, several countries are relaxing travel restrictions for India. But there are some countries that extended travel ban on India.

The main concern of extending travel ban on India is due to the spread of “Delta variant”. Because Delta variant was first detected in India and the number of positive cases of delta plus variant is increasing in India. So this is one of the possible reasons for some countries to extend travel ban in India.

Their are 5 Countries that extended travel ban on India.

1. Saudi Arabia

The government clearly stated that, they will impose three-year travel ban and high penalty on Saudi Arabia citizen who travel in Red List Countries. Currently there are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, South Africa, Turkey, Ethiopia, UAE, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina, Lebanon and Indonesia are present in this list.

2. The Philippines

The Philippines is small country in southeast Asia. The Philippines government recently extended travel ban on India and some other countries till August 15. The main reason of extended travel ban on India and other countries is due to rising of Delta variant cases in their country.

Critical situation in Philippines

They firstly imposed travel ban on India on April 29, which they extended to July 14. Later, they again extend travel ban on India including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Oman till July 31. And now travel ban will remain till August 15.

3. Canada

Canada is also one of those country where highest number of Indian citizens travel from India for Business, Educational and some other purposes. Recently, Canada also Extended flight ban on upcoming passengers flight from India and some other countries from direct route.

RT-PCR test require from travelling another country

The flight ban was firstly imposed on India on April 22, which was supposed to be lifted on July 21 but now it has been extended till August 21. Canadian Government also stated that, the peoples who travel to Canada from indirect route, should undergo a mandatory negative RT-PCR test before resuming their journey in Canada.

4. The United Arab Emirates

The UAE government also ban flights from India due to increasing number of “Delta variant” cases in India. The Etihad Airway also said that they were not sure, when will be flight ban lifted from India.

UAE government extended flight ban from India till August 2. But recently, UAE lift ban on Indian flights and 5 other countries from 5 August. Now you can easily travel to UAE.

5. France & Germany

France Germany

A few months ago, France and Germany also imposed travel ban on India, due to rapidly increasing of corona-virus cases in India during second wave time. But slowly-slowly when corona-virus second wave situation is controlled in India then they lift travel ban on India and also approved India “Covid shield” vaccine for travelling in European countries.
